Roy Smithers was one of the annual Alan Albury Award winners for services to recreational cricket in Kent for 2009. Roy’s contribution to Chevening stretches back many years as player, chairman & groundsman. Derek Underwood, President of Kent CCC, presented the award during the lunch interval at the recent Kent vs Surrey county championship match at Canterbury.

The Chevening Pavillion, built in 2007 provides good size changing areas for two teams & officials, a social area and kitchen.
A rather tired Simon Baldwin and Andy Black after their record innings against Kemsing in 2009.
Carl Smithers plays his first senior game for Chevening, and is presented with his Cap by Skipper Mark Challis.
Carl is the 3rd Generation of the family to play for chevening Amblers.
